As architects and photographers, we’re always interested in bringing buildings into the spotlight, portraying some of these structures we work with as the main protagonists of our images instead of relegating them to a mere background for the photo. Not that this building specifically needs any more attention to itself! We’ve all seen La Muralla Roja used as the backdrop of way too many advertising campaigns and influencers’ photos. Located in the cliffs area of Cala Manzanera, Calpe (Spain), this complex designed by architect Ricardo Bofill has become an authentic icon recognized anywhere in the world. Nevertheless, we believe this global recognition has failed to really showcase its true and unique beauty, especially when used as a pastel-colored prop. We wanted to change that by telling a visual story that could highlight its particular design and aesthetic while also trying to have some fun in the process!
